Steam Redesign

Figma (Prototype is interactive!)

The official Steam mobile app has long relied on a web-wrapped interface, leading to slow load times, clunky navigation, and an experience that feels disconnected from modern mobile expectations. I set out to redesign the app from the ground up — not just to clean up the interface, but to reimagine how players engage with Steam on the go.

My first step was to strip away the outdated web-like elements and introduce a streamlined, native-feeling layout. Every screen was rethought with clarity, responsiveness, and ease-of-use in mind. I focused on simplifying key touchpoints like the Store, Library, and Friend Chat to feel intuitive and frictionless on mobile.

A major addition was integrating mobile wallet payment options. By enabling Apple Pay and Google Pay within the redesigned purchase flow, I made checkout significantly faster and more secure — especially useful for users looking to snag a deal during high-traffic events like Steam sales.

This project was about more than polish — it was about creating an experience that feels like it belongs on your phone in 2025. The redesign ditches the outdated web wrapper feel for a fully immersive native experience, built with player convenience at the core.
